FULL-TIME

 

The Trust Operations Specialist performs administrative duties and assists the Operations Manager with daily operations of the Trust Department.

Responsibilities

  • Balance daily transactions on trust accounting system software and general ledger accounts
  • Purchase and redeem money market funds for trust accounts
  • Manage pre-set distributions for trust clients
  • Prepare checks for trust account bills and distributions per instructions from the trust officer
  • Process receipts and disbursements for bond issues, taxes, custodial insurance, fees, commissions, trust deposits
  • Process trust accounting system updates
  • Maintain client account access via internet
  • Prepare various statements as required
  • Other functions and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • May serve as back-up for other Trust Department employees
  • May post broker trades on system

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
  • Two years of experience in trust operations or related banking experience
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Trust operations
    • Securities transactions
  • Skill in researching complex issues and developing recommended actions
  • Ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports
  • Self-starter with multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Intermediate computer and MS Office skills
  • Service oriented with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Professional in conduct and appearance
  • Strong ability to apply good judgment, discretion and confidentiality in all phases of work
